Why Magic Salt Grain?
As I was growing up, MSG gradually became a mainstay in the foods from the sweltering hawker centres of Singapore.
I could never deny the effect that it had on foods, the flavours it imparted despite leaving me thirsty.
With this, I started to call it Magic Salt Grain, my own personal shorthand for the ever so controversial ingredient.
