Culture & Co Espresso Bar- Wolli Creek, NSW
Sundays are made for brunches and hanging out with friends.
I often spend Sundays in the company of my friends in Wolli Creek, we go through the rotation of food venues for brunch and dinner which has uncovered a few notable gems and Culture and Co is one of these gems.
To preface this article, I am a sucker for a specials board- the sense of anticipation when you approach a venue and see something different on the menu. There is something exciting about being involved in the testing process and refining process of dishes before they make it onto a final menu.
Specials: Portuguese Chicken
Juicy marinated chicken thighs grilled and served with a tangy side salad and chips.
One of my favourites- this is the dish I get, whenever I stop by Culture & Co.
Though there may be a bit of a wait time when there are multiple orders of Portuguese Chicken, I personally believe it is worth the wait!
Classic Eggs Benedict
A classic eggs benedict with hollandaise and bacon, Culture & Co does the classics well and proud.
Specials: Chilli Crab Omelette
Another item from the specials menu that caught my attention due to its nature having included an homage to Singapore in the form of a dish that is typically associated with my home- Singapore Chilli Crab.
Served with some prawn crackers- the omelette itself is a firmer and more thoroughly cooked option compared to the versions with fluffy or oozy centres. This simple omelette is then wrapped around their version of a simple chilli crab sauce which mostly gets points for not having to grapple with crab shells to get the rewards.
(I have a very passionate debate around how Chilli Crab is not the best crab dish in Singapore but that is a topic for another day.)
If anyone likes breakfast juices, Culture & Co provides a litany of options available, whether you might be an orange, red or green juice enjoyer.
A location that does the classics well, with other interesting and inspiring items on their specials menu, Culture & Co Espresso Bar in Wolli Creek deserves its position on my regular and list of staples to visit.
